Based in Avondale, a busy Auckland industrial centre is one of New Zealand’s largest contracting companies, Laser Electrical Ltd. In 1982 two enterprising young electricians, David Clemmett and Peter Bassett, first forged their winning partnership. A year later the pair set up a registered company and Laser Electrical was born.

As with a lot of successful operations, hard work and common sense have a played a big part in Laser’s continued expansion. The directors have employed specialist knowledge where needed to run some of the less mainstream divisions of the company. Home Automation, Switchboard Manufacture, CAD Design and Data Communications were established to meet an increasingly demanding market and the right people brought on board to offer the traditional high level of service the existing customers enjoy. They are of course, Safepower assured and a member of ECANZ. With their expert full time staff numbers approaching sixty and the variety of skills shown in their work every day, Laser Electrical can genuinely lay claim to the title of ‘Electrical Installation Specialists.’
